June 3, 2021, marks two months since the formation of the Sutcliffe Endowment Fund of Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts. This endowment is in memory of Judith Sutcliffe, a co-founder, board member, instructor, donor, and dear friend of Shake Rag Alley, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that focuses on art education and the historic preservation of its campus. Judy passed away on March 3 after a long battle with breast cancer. One of her dying wishes was that all donations in her name be directed to Shake Rag Alley, and the Sutcliffe Endowment Fund was born. Judy’s own gift of $10,000 seeded the fund, which as of this writing stands at more than $60,000. Donations of $5 to $10,000 have been received, but we need more help to meet the goal of $100,000 before July 12, the 100th day of the campaign.
