Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts will host A Ghostly Gathering at 7-11 p.m. Oct. 23.
The freakishly fun fall fundraiser promises a variety of festive experiences that will be staged throughout the 2.5-acre campus in the historic heart of Mineral Point. Admission includes a drink ticket (food and beverages from a variety of local vendors will be available for purchase), live music by Madison’s Yid Vicious klezmer ensemble, scary storytelling by Mineral Point’s award-winning Jane Stenson, three types of fortunetelling in the historic Log Cabin, a Night Market of unique crafters, makers and artists, a costume contest with a cash prize for first place and more! Costumes are encouraged. General admission tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Proceeds support Shake Rag Alley arts and crafts programming and historic preservation.
Unique crafters, makers, and artists of the unusual are invited to show their wares and talents in the evening’s one-of-a-kind Night Market, which will be held outside under tents on the Green. The $30 registration fee includes a 6-foot table and two chairs, and vendors are encouraged to dress in costume and decorate their tables. Register by Oct. 9 to participate.
While A Ghostly Gathering is not recommended for children, we look forward to welcoming families to our annual free Trick’r Treat night at 5-7 p.m. Oct. 31.
