Love in the Valley, by Grace Matson

In the valley, the snow has melted and birds have returned
The sandstone ridges call my name, echoing with calls of nature
A place I have visited, but do not call home … yet …
The beauty of this area grabs my heart and makes it flutter
Like a new-found love. I smile when I think of it
I daydream about it sometimes, wondering if it’s the right fit
Asking myself, “Will it make me happy?”
I think I already know the answer.
