Voice of the River Valley is launching an All-Digital Distribution Campaign for the springtime months of April, May and June. Readers can subscribe to Voice to have it delivered by mail or keep connected with Voice through digital channels. Voice e-mail blasts will now put digital copies directly in people’s inboxes. Facebook campaigns will deliver every magazine article to new and existing readers. And voiceoftherivervalley.com is growing!

Keeping connected is essential. Inspiration, information and enrichment are just as necessary for life as health, order, and safety. 

During this pandemic that’s so disrupted life in our nook of the Driftless Area, we are as committed to keeping our communities connected as we are to keeping our readers and volunteer staff safe from exposure to the COVID-19 virus. That is why Voice of the River Valley is launching an All-Digital Distribution Campaign for the springtime months of April, May and June 2020. The only print copies that will be circulated are ones mailed to annual subscribers, advertisers, and contributing writers.

Going digital is no small undertaking, and it is going to require that Voice’s loyal readers adapt and embrace a new medium. We ask you, dear readers, to transfer your love for holding a copy of the magazine in your hands at your favorite coffee shop to a new experience enjoying it via your favorite digital device. If you haven’t already discovered Voice online, try embracing a digital version in your favorite spot in the home wearing your favorite slippers, or in the garden with a warm beverage. Our readers call us, email us, and write us telling us how much they love print media. We ask you to have the heart to try going digital.

Many people don’t realize that we lovingly hand distribute up to 4,000 magazines each month to more than 180 galleries, shops, cafes, restaurants, libraries and other locations where people gather to find joy and inspiration in seven counties across Southwest Wisconsin. The majority of those distribution places are ordered closed under the Safer at Home order. So our digital campaign will continue to reach readers each month and keep them feeling connected to the places and enterprises that define our region. Voice e-mail blasts will now put digital copies of Voice of the River Valley directly in people’s hands each month via their in-boxes. Voice Facebook campaigns will deliver every magazine article to new and existing readers. Simultaneously, www.voiceoftherivervalley.com is growing! We are launching a COVID-19 public service resources page, and adding a magazine flip book to the homepage to make it easier to find. We are making website homepage sponsorships available for the first time, and are now making online advertising available as well. A website popup will make it easy to sign-up for the Voice direct email list.

It’s a scary fact that people of all ages can be affected by the new coronavirus. All of us are susceptible, young and old. However, the World Health Organization reminds us that most of the people who catch COVID-19 can recover and eliminate the virus from their body. Not only as individuals, but as organizations, businesses and communities we can recover from the coronavirus disease. We are all in this together and we will pull through with heart.
