Please join us as we tour remnant Moely Prairie, a diverse landscape that promises to be in full bloom. At just 23.5 acres, and surrounded by urban development, this prairie is the largest remaining remnant of the original 14,000-acre Sauk Prairie. Because this site was never plowed, a rich array of native prairie plants persist here. The return of students from the architectural school founded by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1932 will be celebrated with dedication of the new Performing Arts Pavilion, designed as a project of the School of Architecture at Taliesin. One year ago it was uncertain if the students would ever return to Wisconsin. Five months before that, the school was declared dead. Faculty, staff and students look forward to meeting residents. The Lowery Creek Watershed Initiative, a community partnership coordinated by the Driftless Area Land Conservancy, once again is hosting monthly gatherings that are part field trip and part socializing.  In this session, join Mary Pohlman to learn the history and tales of early farmers to better understand today's renowned Wyoming Valley area.
