Workshop: A Montage of Mosaics

What do you think of when you think of mosaic knitting? Do you think of something geometric or “Greek” looking? Checkerboard? Windowpane? Waffle-like or woven? Something abstract or “Op Art?” No matter which of the above you think of, they’re all part of mosaic knitting! In this class we will explore how mosaic patterns work, how mosaic patterns differ from other slip stitch patterns, advantages of using a mosaic pattern, disadvantages of using a mosaic pattern, and how to make a sampler using one or more mosaic patterns.
