Sankta Lucia Celebration

Children and adults alike are invited out to this special day of wintertime wonder! The event starts off at 3 p.m. with crafts for kids. Children can make Danish paper heart baskets and fragrant orange pomanders, color Dala horses, and learn the traditional Sankta Lucia songs. Our fantastic volunteers will be hard at work making lussekatter, saffron buns traditionally served on this day. Children are invited to help shape the buns before baking.
The evening potluck starts at 5:30 p.m. and is followed by the Sankta Lucia procession. Boys and girls who want to participate in the procession must attend the workshops earlier in the day in order to learn the songs.
Afternoon and evening admission: $12 adults, $10 seniors and teens, $8 kids 6-12.
Evening only: $8 adults, $6 seniors and teens, $4 kids 6-12.
Kids 5 and under admitted free.
