Take a stroll beside the Mississippi River and explore the many-layered history of western Wisconsin’s oldest town. This 90-minute guided outdoor walking tour will step from the foundations of Fort Crawford to the homes and trading posts of the old Main Village of Prairie du Chien, showing how the Upper Mississippi Valley has been shaped by American Indians, French-Canadians and American settlers. Tours begin at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tickets required.
