LitFest in the Lounge at The Jefferson

The Spring Green Literary Festival is sponsoring an opportunity to read out loud four plays from American Players Theatre’s 2019 season. The community readings will take place in Rosa Lee’s Lounge. Beverages can be purchased during the readings. Scripts available at the door the afternoon of the event or playbooks are for sale at Arcadia Books or for checking out at the Spring Green Community Library with a South Central library card. Choose the part you want to read or come and just listen and discuss. The purpose is to gain a deeper understanding of the plays in advance of performance and to have fun reading them out loud with friends and other drama buffs from the area. Free and open to all. The plays to be read are: “A Doll’s House” by Henrik Ibsen on March 31; “A Man of Destiny” by George Bernard Shaw on April 7; “She Stoops to Conquer” by Oliver Goldsmith on April 14; and “The Book of Will” by Lauren Gunderson on April 28.
