Friends of Folklore Village Virtual Fundraiser
October 3, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join traditional beadworker Karen Ann Hoffman of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin for a discussion about her art form and about her recent achievement in being named a National Heritage Fellow by the National Endowment for the Arts! Karen Ann practices a style called Iroquois raised beadwork, and her work is displayed at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian, the Field Museum, the Iroquois Indian Museum, the Oneida Nation Museum and also in Folklore Village’s Farwell Hall gallery. This is a free event sponsored by the Friends of Folklore Village, who invite you to make a donation to Folklore Village during Karen Ann’s presentation.
