The 2nd Annual Mineral Point Chamber Music Festival takes place June 8-10. Three young professional ensembles will perform three full concerts on the evenings of June 8 and 9 and the afternoon of June 10. An addition to the festival are two free concerts on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The concerts will be performed by ensembles composed of festival musicians, local professional musicians and high school students.
“The goal of the festival is to provide a valuable performing experience for young professional musicians, a significant listening experience for local residents, and a reasonably priced, culturally rich weekend destination for music lovers,” said Peter Schmalz, festival founder and director.
